WWBA 820 AM Radio is well known for its news and sports talk Florida programs. The commercial AM radio station WWBA 820 AM Radio has the license to broadcast in Largo, Florida. They are commonly called AM 820 News in the Tampa Bay area and were formerly called “News Talk 820 WWBA”. They went on air on May 29, 1972, only for the daytime. Later they changed their format to an as conservative talk show and then switched back to a news talk format again. In 2020 they changed the format from news/talk to news/sports rebranding as The Big 8.
